Description

I was looking for ways to improve Geprc's DarkStar20. But to keep it as small as possible. The Pavo Pico has a carbon fiber frame and the DarkStar20 has larger propellers.
I took all the electronics from the original DarkStar drone and bought a complete Pavo Pico frame from BETA FPV (about 20euro). The prop guards from the Pavo Pico are small and the prop guards from the DarkStar have too wide a fit.
The motors are closer together than on the original drone. The propeller guards now fit. The TPU battery mounts work better than the original mounting method.
All you need to rebuild is what comes with the frame and a soldering iron. The nuts that are encased in plastic need to be taken out of the original frame with a soldering iron, and using a soldering iron set to about 185°C, they need to be pressed into the new frame.
Push the antenna through the small hole in the frame and use duct tape to attach it to the propeller guard point.
