Description

Micro Sprite Scooter - Brake Light Adapter!

Let your kids be seen when it's dark, rainy or foggy!

In Switzerland it's illegal to ride a scooter or bicycle in the dark without front and rear light. And because I have never seen a kids non-electric scooter with a rear light I decided to make a bracket for it!! So, should your kids need to use their scooter in the early morning, during bad weather or just for extra light… here is a solution.

Featuring 2 Versions!

  1. Bracket for clip on rear light (Plate 1)
  2. Bracket to screw rear light to the bracket. (Plate 2)

Installation:

Very easy! No extra parts required, just 2 hex tools.

Find 2, hex 5 keys (used for most bikes and scooters).

Undo the hex bolt in the center of the rear light. Be sure to remember where the 2 spacers go, between the wheel and the frame. The bracket goes outside over the frame. See picture for more info. Tighten everything again as before… tight enough but not too tight so the wheel stops turning smoothly.

The Brake Light

I am using these mini clip on LED lights which can be recharged via USB. It can clip over the bracket from the first plate.

Also, this light can be opened and screwed directly onto the scooter bracket. This way it's fixed and can't be removed. Handy if your kids forget the light and others can't easily pull it off.

Available on:

Fruugo

Printing:

I have printed my models in PETG, however, it's probably best to use ASA or ABS for longevity. I would not recommened PLA as this would get brittle too quick and possibly fall off.
