Stand for Spray Painting

This model is designed to provide a stable surface for spray painting, particularly for priming a model before hand painting. 

The spikes on the stand are carefully shaped to form a bowl-like structure at the top. This helps keep the object centered and prevents it from rolling off.

This model may pose some printing challenges, including expected stringing and a well-calibrated printer is recommended, but even imperfect prints should function effectively.

Update April 5th 2026 - Added version 2

Version 2 improvements:

• Stronger spikes
  

• Less stringing due to the spike tips being slightly less pointy and slowing down the layer times

  

  • I still recommend using dry filament and finishing with a blow dryer or heat gun to clear away stringing
