Description

This is my design for a test indicator holder. It slip fits onto the tool head of the X1C without tools, fitting over the LIDAR arm.

 

Once installed you can use your indicator to tram your bed, or check for flatness.

Nice idea, well done. I did one a while back with a fulcrum beam, https://www.printables.com/model/413783-dial-caliper-jig. I like how yours mounts.

i had multiple failures in the z axis homing. A belt had jumped a couple teeth on a z screw and the right side of the bed was about 1/4 inch low. after resetting the belts and z screws with the bed bolted down I figured I’d fine tune it with this. I knew I had a test dial in my toolbox from my machining days. turns out, it’s the exact same indicator the creator has lol. completely zeroed to perfection all the day around. No more z movements on first layers. excellent design. Printed with Atomic PETG on .6 nozzle just fine. Thank you for your design. This is NOT for a dial indicator, it’s for a TEST DIAL. know the difference if you’re planning to print.

Printed perfect just don’t have a way to mount my gage to it.
