Link Gauntlets - Tears of the Kingdom

A pair of gauntlets designed from Tears of the Kingdom Link for my Halloween costume this year. Printed in overture pla+ chocolate and brown

They were expressly designed to fit my forearm via a 6-point measurement, however, I left in a 1/4-inch tolerance, and uniform scaling should roughly work out for your arm if similar to mine. If not, feel free to leave a comment and I can post a new version in a new profile.

Specifically, the measurements (and my values) were:

1. wrist height - 1.8in
2. wrist width - 2.4in
3. mid-forearm height (measured halfway between measurements 1/2 and 3/4) - 2.6in
4. next to elbow height - 3.65in
5. next to elbow width - 3.35in
6. forearm length (distance between measurements 1/2 and 3/4 with tolerance for bending elbow) - 7in

as according to this stock image with red being into the page.

The model is printed as it sits on your forearm, to send the majority of the purge material to the supports and keep the supported surface hidden when worn, although if you're okay using more material you could probably print it upright. The supports can be a pain to remove, so you may need to sand the inner surface a bit. I accidentally used trees on the print shown in the images, but normal support should work out much better with the large overhang - a change that is reflected in the print profile. It also includes adaptive layer height on the top surface, as to hide the curvature better.

Lastly, it attaches to your forearm with ½ inch velcro straps, I used some velcro cable ties I had lying around and trimmed them to size, but feel free to experiment!
