Description

You want to print Dummy 13 in scale?

Consider, that BIG dummy's has problems - Joints will crack during assembly, solid parts are not same in 100% and 500% scale. Joints need more flexibility to be able to be assembled.

At same time Joints needs clamping force to perform it's function. Built robot should stay, hold hands, etc.

Here is my solution:

Stronger joints for Dummy 13

  • Added gaps, to add flexibility
  • Gaps also creates more walls, that adds clamping force
  • Fuzzy skin adds more gip for joints

Does it work?

Yes, this solution was carefully tested and approved to be effective. I've tried many designs and came up with this one. I have a box with tried samples:

Print tips

  • Use PETG
  • Scale to 20% if you want to get original dummy size
  • Set 3 or more walls
  • Fuzzy skin should be applied to all joints
