UV Curing Cabin (under $15)

This project helps you build an afforable UV curing cabin (under $15) using a 28L insulated bag and a UV LED strip kit. It’s ideal for use as a resin curing station or for charging phosphorescent 3D-printed models. An optional electric turntable can be added, though it's not strictly necessary since the UV light covers all sides.

Note: You can use any bag size by adjusting the Z scale of the edge parts to fit your dimensions.

Materials Required:

• Insulated Bag (28L): Approx. 35cm x 23cm x 26cm

• UV LED Strip Kit with Power Supply

• Electric Turntable (optional)

• 3D printed frame parts (edges, links and corners), preferably PETG.

Parts to Print:

1. 24 edges (split in two for printing) to build the cabin frame.
2. 12 links to join two edge halves into one full edge.
3. 12 corners to connect edges at each corner.

Assembly Instructions:

1. Prepare the Bag: Open the insulated bag and attach the UV LED strip to the inside walls.
2. Print the 3D Parts: Print the corners, edges, and links using a standard 3D printer.
3. Assemble the Frame: Connect two edge pieces using a link to form a full edge. Attach all the edges and corners to complete the frame. The frame can be glued for sturdiness or left unglued for portability.
4. Insert the Frame into the Bag: After attaching the LED strip, place the frame inside the bag for structure.
5. Optional: Add the electric turntable inside the cabin for rotating curing.
6. Start Curing: Place your resin prints or phosphorescent models inside, zip the bag, and switch on the UV light.

Applications:

• Resin Curing Station: Ensures even curing of 3D prints.
• Charging Phosphorescent Models: Great for charging glow-in-the-dark items.
