Description

This 3000V electric direct current locomotive for passenger trains, express trains and freight trains was manufactured at the Škoda Works in Pilsen (then the V.I. Lenin Works) in 1958. The same locomotives had been produced here since 1953, so the first ones are older than some steam locomotives. Although electric locomotives had already been produced in our country for 50 years, only Bobiny became the pioneers of electric traction. Our Bobina drove in the Praha střed, Spišská Nová Ves and Ostrava depots, and from 1991 in Olomouc. It was officially scrapped in 1998, but then the canceling decree was overturned and the locomotive was sent for uncoupling repair. Since 2001, it has had a historic livery from 1958. It was the last one in regular service at ČD in 2011.
