KLURIG - The Puzzle Box Challenge
Introducing KLURIG, the ultimate puzzle box designed to test your wits, patience, and problem-solving skills. With over 14 intricate steps needed to open (or close!) this box, KLURIG is a true test of creativity and perseverance. The simple design might fool you into thinking it’s easy to crack - after all, the assembly and closing instructions are provided (pdf on this page), and everything fits neatly on a single print plate for an A1 mini. It even prints without support, and the only extra part you'll need is a rubber band.
But don't be deceived. KLURIG is anything but straightforward. Each step will challenge you to think outside the box—quite literally—and push your problem-solving abilities to the limit. The process may seem logical, but every turn, slide, and push requires careful thought. And while it might seem easy at first glance, frustration might just be your constant companion as you attempt to open (or close) it.
Intended Audience:
KLURIG is perfect for puzzle enthusiasts and problem-solvers of all ages—particularly adults and teens who enjoy mental challenges and a dash of frustration.
Print problems?
I have uploaded a version of the lid with some optimizations of overhangs and increased the tolerances a bit. (You will find it with the other step-files).

Warning:
Giving KLURIG to your best friend might just turn them into your worst friend. Hours of confusion, trial and error, and the inevitable "this should be easy!" moment will come before any sense of victory. It’s a fantastic test of patience, and a surefire way to see just how well your friends handle frustration. Proceed with caution, and maybe don’t give it to anyone easily annoyed...
To all my amazing 600 followers - thank you for being part of this journey!
Your support means everything, and I hope KLURIG brings you as much joy (and maybe a little frustration) as it did in creating it. Here’s to many more challenges and creative projects to come! 🎉
Harder alternative
It's possible to use two of the gravity blocker walls, for a bit bigger challenge :)
