Description

The Poop Grabber is a practical and easy-to-use solution for picking up after your dog during walks. This 3D-printed grabber is designed for convenience and hygiene collecting waste without getting too close or dirtying your hands. Its lightweight and ergonomic design make it easy to carry, while the efficient gripping mechanism ensures a clean pick-up every time. An added feature of the Poop Grabber is a built-in compartment for holding waste bags, so you’re always prepared on the go. No need for extra accessories—this tool combines everything you need in one compact, easy-to-use design.

The Poop Grabber is the perfect companion for any dog owner, offering a quick and simple way to keep your surroundings clean. Whether you’re on the go or cleaning up at home, this tool ensures you’re always prepared.

How to Use:

  • Remove the back cover and insert a roll of bags, threading it through the opening. The bag should stick out from the bottom of the grabber. Put the cover back on
  • To collect poop, pull the bag so that the end is positioned near the tips of the legs.
  • Pull the handle to close the legs.
  • Flip the bag over, securing it with the clips, or stretch it over the entire legs (stretching it is quicker).
  • Open the legs.
  • Pick up the poop by pulling the handle.
  • Tie the bag, tear it off, and dispose of it properly.

Great bit of machinery! Makes picking up poop fun. I had to plastic weld some of the clips together for increased rigidity - they were breaking out. Now I am having issues with the snap in rings but that's probably just from using PLA. I don't use the springs and wish there were little indentions on the sides for gripping and releasing the claw. If i print again i will throw down a remix with the indentions.

it's been some time and I'm not that user, but I typically add a cube to remove the old face that I don't want, and then I use an SVG of the design I want as a modifier

Hello! Unfortunately, I don't have an assembly video, but I'll try to help as much as I can. Are you referring to point 7 of the manual? If so, you need to insert the part called 'pusher pin' into the 'spring holder' part, and then insert the spring. Once assembled, place this pushing mechanism into the inner handle. There’s a bit of extra space there, so the part might initially try to pop out, but once you push the inner handle into the outer handle and finish assembling the grabber, the mechanism will stay securely in place. I’ve also attached an illustration and a cross-section of the fully assembled mechanism, which should help clarify things. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!

Thank you very much for your reply, I also have questions regarding sections 9, 10, 11, 13, 14, could you clarify how to do it I don't know how to use the smaller pieces or where to put them, I don't quite understand the image in section number 9 of the manual Regards

does the bag get held by the clips on the legs?

Yes, the clips can hold the bag. However, it takes a moment to attach it, and after some testing, I found that simply wrapping the bag around the entire legs works just as well.

Does it handle soft mushy poo too? Or when you don't get all the nuggets in the first grab.

Absolutely nothing but issues printing. Plate one was fine. Attempted plate 2- three times. Fail. Nothing but stringy messes. Nothing is working to fix.

if you are having trouble with one of the side pieces, I had the same problem. I found that the first layer only covered half of the piece. I used the cut tool and cut the first layer off. it worked great after that

The panel on the second tray was not flush which easily caused failures I resolved this issue by adjusting the contact area The screws were too short a problem I fixed through redesign Everything else is excellent thank you for sharing this design

The claws are a bit tight and don't release automatically, but otherwise it's quite good
