To usher in the Christmas and holiday spirit, I present the Gingerbread House Kit Card! It features an easy to assemble model, with simple but great colors that print surprisingly well with the AMS or AMS Lite. Created by Kit Crafters!

Included are 5 profiles:

The prototypes and final prints were all done with Bambu Lab PLA Basic/Matte. The final model uses Matte Latte Brown, Matte Scarlet Red, Matte Grass Green, and Matte Ivory White. I absolutely adore kit cards and this one was inspired by berri3D's winning Halloween design. Check out their work!

When printing the Gingerbread House Kit Card, different filaments and calibrations may make it too loose or too tight for the magnet to fit. I recommend changing the X-Y hole compensation to make it closer to being too loose so that the magnet can be inserted and super-glued if needed. The uploaded profiles need no changes for the X-Y hole compensation that I find works very well with Bambu Lab PLA.

Awesome little model. If I was being super critical I’d say some of the joins could be optimised to make them tighter or looser, but really nice model anyway.

Fine Gingerbread house, though even though that is what it should look like, I still feel the size of the roof parts could be tweaked to fit a little more snug, the front door part not touching the door mat could have been made to go all the way down, and if I had not printed from the app, but instead Bambu Studio, I might have wanted to have colors from the garden (snowman, tree etc) on both front and back. The Christmas tree looks a bit odd when put together, to have partial green/brown on some sides.

Thanks for the review! The decorations are made to emulate more gingerbread cookies with icing on one side, but yeah if it doesn’t look right to you it can be fully colored. I’ll see about the other issues you brought up, thanks!

A really nice small gift for grandchildren friends and colleagues The print was prepared on three plates and went without any problems I printed this model several times as a gift and everyone who received one was delighted :-)

Printed to make a gift for a colleague I had to file down some tenons for them to fit well into the mortises PLA white (rosa3d) PLA magenta (dailyfil) PLA apple green (dailyfil) PLA brown (panchroma)
