Domestic JOLT Luger Feed Mechanism Kit

Background Introduction

This kit is developed for the domestic JOLT soft egg toy, referring to the toggle-lock mechanism of the Luger P08, and finally forming a toggle-lock feed mechanism.

The purpose of development is to create a mechanism that is more compact than the loading structure on the Zhu Rong kit, with faster reloading and the ability to add a buttstock. Of course, everyone loves the German-style design.

Kit Introduction

The kit was initially only supposed to contain the feed mechanism itself, but through the joint creation of friends on the SDGUN forum, it has gradually evolved into a full-fledged kit with various options, providing different choices for different usage scenarios.

The main body of the kit is divided into two types: with stock and without stock. With stock is SMG-style, without stock is hand-held style; based on these two classifications, there are also multiple handguard lengths, suitable for different lengths of inner tubes, see the following diagram:

The kit adopts a segmented sealing method to ensure air tightness, divided into two levels of air tightness: the cylinder air tightness is level one, and the inner tube air tightness is level two, realized by using O-rings + 704 glue + thread seal tape, the specific principle is as follows:

Printing Suggestions

This kit was tested using PETG during development, with shrinkage rate and other parameters tested according to PETG. PLA may require some sanding and additional sealing material.

It is recommended to use variable layer height for printing. Actual testing showed that the shrinkage rate at 0.08 and 0.12 layer heights is relatively high, which can easily lead to deformation and affect installation accuracy.

It is recommended to use 3-4 layers for the outer wall of printing to ensure the air tightness of the bonding surface. If the air tightness of some parts is not good, you can use 704 or 502 glue to smear on the surface to improve the air tightness.

Assembly BOM

The kit installation requires hardware. Due to the small quantity, the BOM will not be uploaded separately:

1. M2*5 flat head or countersunk machine screws 6 (without stock) 7 (with stock) - used to fix the front adapter receiver and position the handguard buttstock;

2. m4*30 screws and nuts 1 set - used to fix the middle section of the toggle-lock grip;

3. m5*30 screws and nuts 2 sets - used for the folding stock movement components (can also be replaced with 2 sets of 5mm outer diameter 30mm long locking screws);

4. 1*10 O-ring seals 2 - used for the bullet feed nozzle air tightness;

5. 1.9*15 or 2.0*15 O-ring seals 1 - used for the primary air tightness between the main body and the outer tube;

6. 704 sealant and thread seal tape in quantity - used for the inner tube air tightness and the air tightness between the main body and the butt.
