Description

The 12V cover of my wifes car kept coming off so she requested one that would fit better.
This one is longer that the original so it stays put much better.
To give it some style I made a EJECT button from it which works only when I push it (it has fingerprint recognition inside… ;-)

Just printed it in PLA and we will see how long it holds up. Probably better printed in PETG or so but I do not have this atm.

Printed in PETG, but because PETG is a bit transparent, the black shows through the red a little, but It's not enough to be a problem. As someone else noted it's a little undersized. Reprinted at 103% on X and Y. Fits nice and snug. 👍

Looks good anyway👍 Thanks for sharing Is there petg that is less transparant? Maybe a higher quality with more pigment?

I'm not 100% sure but I think PETG is inherently a bit transparent, but I remember seeing some Banbu filament listed as specifically transparent so maybe there is. This is just cheap AliExpress PETG. (Jayo)

All PETG (polyethylene glycol-modified) is inherently translucent due to the modified, amorphous polymer structure. It would need a lot of very strong pigment (such as carbon black) to overcome that well.

Printed in 102% size as a user suggested but unfortunately it fits too tight and the press to eject mechanism doesn't work out. Will try again in 100% size to see if it does work and review the rating. Also, just a minor thing but, the Eject text is not completely centered and is kicking in my ocd a little bit 😅

Ty, I guess not all 12v sockets have the same sizes. Mine at 100% is great. I must admit that the eject button doesn't work without an ejection seat. I've tried to eject my wife but it never worked. About the text... Because the character E has more volume than the T it feels not centered.
