I found that many of the trays for the Sunlu S4 didn’t fit perfectly. So I decided to design my own version for a flawless fit.
This tray is ideal for when you want to dry other things than filament spools. I made it with an organic voronoi pattern (inspired by this design: https://makerworld.com/en/models/402943#profileId-304623) which makes it very strong and able to support a lot of weight while still allowing airflow underneath.
I recommend printing it in ASA for better heat resistance, as the Sunlu can reach up to 70°C. I found that printing in PETG caused the tray to sag under load. But this was a fairly cheap filament, you might have better success. I also think PETG-CF might work as an alternative to ASA/ABS as it has higher temperature resistance than regular PETG.
The model on the picture was printed with Bambu Lab ASA on a smooth PEI sheet with bambu glue stick. There was 0 warping and the tray is 100% flat. It has not sagged for hundreds of drying hours at 70c :)
Happy Printing!
