Description
Hi guys. Finally I made Sting worth downloading and printing. Grabed the file from GrabCad and changed almost everything. Resized the sword almost 25%, elongated the handle, added two holes through the hole model for M5 threaded rods for some weight and alignment. Split the cross guard for easy printing, and split the blade to fit on my P1S. Inset the text because want to fill it with black wash/panel liner after painting, it should look good. After a lot of hard work this is the closest in dimensions and specs to a master Weta sword. 690mm overall length, 490mm blade length and 174mm wide. Specs according to weta site, and used in the LOTR movies. A bit bigger even then united cutlery version. But fits in the hand great and it's a beautiful sword. M5 threaded rods should be around 525-530mm but measuring at the spot will be the most accurate. The plaque for this large version of Sting is coming in a couple of days. Pommel fits great but need to cut the M5 threaded rods and it's a bit late so will do that tomorrow.
