Description

A set of samples of different settings for Fuzzle Skin.

Three sets of settings. Corse/Medium/Fine, Much of the uses I for see, need the finer setting. But 3d printing can be used for so very much.

Each sample has several subtle features. A flat surface, cured surfaces, Small radii, and a 90degree corner.

It also has a fixture to hold them together. The top is attached to base with M4 x 50mmL The screw head acts as an interlock with the base when stacked together.

Some of the fuzzy go out excessively. But this is from the slicer. It depends on the geometry. When you use Fuzzy Skin, make sure you review the preview for your particular use.

A hint about applying modifier, like applying fuzzy skin. It effectively cuts the part. The point is it applies the fuzzy to both side of this part. Even if it is next to the other part. Making it worth checking the preview. Not worth not using fuzzy. But worth noticing.

Adding fuzzy can add time. Speeding up (silent, normal, sport, …) does not have a big difference. The major factor is acceleration. If a long line is broken up into a bunch of little segments, as fuzzy does. It never gets up to “standard” speed limit.

With large thickness there are some errors that happen, depending on your geometry. Notice the blue in the image. Those would be printing horizontal but will probably sag. That could be the look you want.
