Description

The original was just about what I was looking for. I really want to thank @Djustnibiru for this amazing file. The only reason I edited the file was to fit my needs. I also noticed that when I printed the file there were some thin walls. (this could have been my settings) I also wanted a belt clip as my pickets are always full of things.

Things I changed:

  • The position of the hole to be more centered so it would eliminate the thin walls
  • Added a belt clip
  • Fixed the tilt removing the need for supports on the first layer

Turned out nice! Maybe someone else can enjoy it as well.

Thank you to the original designer. @Djustnibiru

Tried this print 3 times... first attempt broke loose from the plate at 96%... second time broke loose at 20%... third attempt broke loose at 80%. I cleaned my plate each time with IPA just to be sure. It's also a brand new plate. I even slowed the speed down to 50% on the last attempt. Safe to say this model has adhesion issues. I have a feeling it has to do with the design not having a perfectly plain flat base or the lack of a brim.

Hello, Thank you for the feed back I am re-printing it to see if I can reproduce this issue. Can you let me know what heat settings you were using and the type of filament? Just wondering have you tried to print with a brim?

Replying to @TazDaMan53 :
I printed as is.. stock settings for the material and brand of filament on an A1 mini. I was using Polymaker PETG in black. I'll admit I was frustrated after 3 tries and didn't attempt with a brim.

Hello, The original file had some very thin walls, which resulted in holes when printed. I’ve adjusted the hole placement for the lighter to achieve more even wall thickness. I'm working on the belt clip to ensure it prints correctly and doesn't snap off due to layer line placement.
