Description

This is my custom Saberforge Xiphos chassis. This is a tough saber to install due to the thin choke point of the saber, so I had to get creative.

This chassis used 3 pieces. The removable section is the “core” and the two other sections are permanently in place. They lock into the hilt via the 12mm momentary switches that are standard on lightsabers. This has some specific parts due to the extremely limited space.

Parts:

  • Printed Chassis (I used PETG HF but any filament that isn't abrasive or TPU should work)
  • Board: any proffieboard (I used a v2.2, 3.9 also works)
  • Battery: keepower button top 18650 from Saberbay (available at other places)
  • Battery contacts: from TheSaberArmory (IMPORTANT TO USE THESE EXACT CONTACTS)
  • Switches for hilt: x2 12mm momentary switches for hilt
  • Switches for core, x2 4.5x4.5x3.8mm momentary switches (from uxcell on amazon)
  • Speaker: Saberbay 28mm high bass (MUST BE THIS SPEAKER, TOLERANCED FOR THIS SIZE ONLY)
  • Chassis Connectors: 7 pin rotary connector from SaberBay
  • Blade Connector: v4 Eco Long Pin from Saberbay

Wiring is very right, tolerances are low but when it works it feels awesome. Wiring is fairly straightforward but definitely follow the proffie manual. Also, if you want to edit the chassis, .STEP files from fusion360 have been provided.
