Description
DFB Pokal Trophy
This is a detailed model of the DFB Pokal trophy, which is also split into printable parts. UPDATE: the Winners Text is available under the assembly guide.
The original DFB Pokal is 52cm high and would require to scale the provided files to ~563%.
The trophy is split into different files:
A rather complete split into 2 files is with DFB_Pokal-Bottom and DFB_Pokal-Top, however, this is not really suitable for printing.
You might use those files to determine the scale you want to print.
The more printable files are split as follows:
Bottom:
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Bottom is the complete bottom (not recommended)
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Bottom1
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Bottom2 (not recommended because of the overhangs, use the below split instead)
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Bottom2_1
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Bottom2_2
Top:
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top is the complete printable top (not recommended)
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top1
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top2
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top3
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top4
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top5
- DFB_Pokal_printable-Top6
Text:
- each file in the Text folder needs to be printed once
- it contains the whole imprint split into files that should fit onto one print plate
Ornaments:
- Ring needs to be printed multiple times: quantity and size depend on the beads you plan to use and the size of the print
- Edelstein-Ring (the central jewel DFB_Pokal_Edelstein for this part can be found on Thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3872731)
- Person1 needed 5 times (will be printed flat but can be slightly heated with an iron to bend it accordingly)
- Person2 needed 5 times (same as for Person1)
- Plakette-21
Assembly:
After everything is printed, glue together the main parts of the trophy.
For the letters and ornaments you can use an iron to slightly heat the prints to bend them accordingly.
You can directly print with gold filament or spray paint it afterwards. The original trophy has shiny and matte finishes which can be replicated with different gold paints.
Insert some glass beads for example to imitate the gems in the rings.
Winners Text on the Bottom Part
There is some special water decal foil (Wasserschiebefolie) that can be printed with a laser printer to transfer the club engravings onto the bottom.
I used a PowerPoint when printing, but this cannot be uploaded. So please use the attached jpg or pdf and scale accordingly for your print.
I printed a 560% version on an Ender 3 Max and needed in total 1243g / 417m of filament and the net print time was 60:48h
Have fun with printing this detailed model of the DFB Pokal trophy!
