Description

I decided to build an affordable PC for the living room to occasionally play simple games on the TV.

For this, I bought a basic ITX motherboard (http://www.huananzhi.com/en/more.php?lm=10&id=703) with an Intel Xeon and RAM from Ali, an NVMe SSD, and a used GTX 1660 Super. I already had a standard ATX power supply, which I wanted to use as well.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find any affordable PC cases that would fit an ITX board, a graphics card, and an ATX power supply, and also fit into the compartment of an IKEA Besta. While searching for 3D printed models, I couldn’t find this combination either, as most ITX cases are designed for smaller power supplies. So, I decided to design a case myself.

This was my first project, so not all parts fit perfectly—sometimes a millimeter is missing, or there’s an extra millimeter. Nevertheless, I’m satisfied with the result and would like to improve and share it, as it might help others.

Since I spontaneously chose a different graphics card, it doesn’t fully fit into the case, and one side panel of the upper case still needs to be created. I’ll take care of that soon.

The power supply is mounted at the rear of the case, and the motherboard's connectors are accessible from the left side. This makes it easier for me to connect devices while the PC is in the cabinet.

This case was printed with PLA+ and 0.6 nozzle.

Parts:

  • Motherboard Case
  • PSU Case
  • Case Lid
  • IO Wall
  • Front (MoBo Case)
  • Back (MoBo Case), including a mount for a 140mm fan
  • Front (PSU Case)
  • Back (PSU Case, including power supply mount)

  • The case supports an ITX motherboard with dimensions of 215mm x 190mm, a dual-slot graphics card, and a standard ATX power supply.
  • So far, there are no mounts for 2.5" or 3.5" SSDs/HDDs. If I have time, I’d like to add these.
  • The PSU case provides enough space to store the remaining cables, and through an opening at the top, you can route cables for the motherboard, CPU, and graphics card.
  • An opening at the back for routing the fan cable is currently missing.
  • The plug holes on the lid are slightly tighter at the back than at the front to reduce fan vibrations.
  • The 140mm fan is mounted using anti-vibration fan mounts.
