Description

This design was developed because some of the ones I tried to download and print were not strong enough. I designed this so it was easy to open and close as my wife has arthritis and has found other clips hard to use. I have printed these in PLA,PLA+ and PETG.

No support is needed and it is optimized for 0.2 layer height and a 0.4 nozzle.

I normally fill the bed with them and print a bunch of them using normal speed for first two layers and move on to sport mode for the remainder.

I've been having lots of problems getting the hinges mobile on this 100mm version, FWIW I've had no problems with the 60mm one. I have about a 40% break rate. Any chance of making this hollow connection solid so there's more leverage? @artlekoi

Hi can you try the second profile please. this has been filled as you suggested. i have tried it with bambu basic pla with the bed set at 40 degrees. printed perfect . its the 40 minute print. hope this helps you.

Sorry to see that. not had any do that. I can see when I zoom in that the layers are not very good. Could I ask if your filament is dry and have you tried with a different filament? I have printed these in a lot of different materials (PLA, PLA+, PETG, ABS, ASA and PA6 GF). May be a setting is off. what machine and slicer are you using. I hope you don't mind me asking these questions as I like to help if I can.

There's no problem with asking. In fact I prefer that you ask! I'm new to printing, and it might indeed be humid. I haven't dried them properly yet, so I'll dry them and try again
