Description

Stool with wooden legs.

Stay tuned for jiggs to make the legs and help with perfect assembly.

I used abs-gf. The seat is filled with plaster of paris for strength and for giving it a solid feel. The small hole in the center of the bottom is for filling. Look at my "stool for toddlers" for info regarding plaster filling. It might works without plaster as well, but then you probably need to ass more walls. Also check out my “reamer” for 3d-prints to get the holes perfect.

You need to expand the build volume of the printer. See how here. https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/knowledge-sharing/print-volume-limitations. However you don't need to disengage the filament cutter, since there is no movement in the exclusion zone.

The small holes at the seat of the legs can be used to inject glue with a syringe. I used abs-gf filament dissolved i acetone as glue. The holes are also for positioning the legs perfect with an 5 x 50 mm dowel pin.

The top surface was sanded with 80 and 120 grit sandpaper with an orbital sander. About 5-10 minutes to sand. Use a respirator if you decide to sand. It looks good without sanding too, but sanding makes the wood / plastic transition perfect. I used 30 mm birch rod for the legs.

It wasn't possible to upload profiles with expanded build space. Therefor I made a file with one seat slightly shortened to fit the build space (plate 3). I also kept the original (plate 1) put tilted it more so it fits. I suggest you use this one and tilt it back so the flat surface rests on the build plate. Then change max height to 256 mm.
