Flexible Display Stand & Hangers

Note: Changes to the 2025 version of the Crystal Dragon make these stands less effective, will need to print one and see what changes need to be made.

Updated Display Stand/Hangers as related to Cinderwing3D Crystal Dragons with a few improvements/changes.

1. Significantly larger capacity but still printable on Bambu P1x, XIC or A1.
2. Consolidated the medium and large crystal dragon stands into a single model.
3. Previous large crystal dragon model could hold approximately 8 full size crystal dragons, this model will hold approx. 14 depending on how you hang them (see pictures)
4. Previous medium crystal dragon model could hold approximately 16 medium crystal dragons if you really stacked them in there, this model will hold approx. 20-22 depending on how you stack them.
5. Slightly tighter tolerances on the rods to improve stiffness.
6. Can use both hangers for large crystal dragons (100%) or can use 1 hanger for large crystal dragons and 1 hanger for medium crystal dragons on the same stand.
7. Includes a top mounted sign holder with set screw. Space is 4mm so you can use 2 x 2mm signs that can be made with MakerLab sign designer right here on makerlab.

Update: 9/3/2024

1. Added keychain hangers
2. Added earring hangers (can be mounted as single, or double by printing both bottom (default) and top.
3. Added 120mm Rod (rods can be whatever length you want in Bambu Studio)
4. Changed model name to Flexible Display Stand & Hangers

As with all the hangers, they can be mixed and matched on the same stand, or different stands can be printed for each type of hanger.

Note: The v1 base, rods, connectors will fit this if you've already printed them and just want to use the new hangers though they might be a smidge loose so use a piece of electrical tape or masking tape on the end of the original models rods if you find them too loose.

To achieve the larger sizes, the hangers were broken into 3 parts, the hanger center and the hanger (left and right are identical). There are both large and medium dragon hangers that can be mixed and matched if desired. They connect with 4 dowels that print on the hanger and mate to 4 holes in the hanger center. 
 

Note: These hanger components are a very tight snap/press fit, they can be removed with a screwdriver or other tool but are not intended to be plugged in, removed, plugged in, etc. I haven't had to glue them yet since the fit is so tight, but I probably will. You're on your own if you try to run with them as removable.

Earring Hangers can be doubled up (picture below) if desired or the bottom can be attached normally (picture after the picture below)

This example/rendering shows the stand assembled with 4 x Earring Hangers and 2 x Key chain Hangers.  Each key chain hanger arm holds 10 key chains.
