This marking gauge allows you to use a common household box cutter razor blade for marking cuts on your wood. Why would you want to use this? The major benefit is that you cut the fibers before your cut with your saw which helps prevent tear out! You also get a more accurate line to line you cut with as well!
Features:
- 1/16" Markings from 1/16" up to 6"
- Both cut (on top) and pencil (on each side) markings are available.
- The outside of the gauge has markings every ¼" to help line up your pencil marks.
If you can print this with a 0.2mm nozzle, the resolution of the text will be much better, but fear not, if you have a standard 0.4mm nozzle, you'll be able to make out the markings.
To Do List:
Create a safety cap for the sharp end of the blade. So⦠don't cut yourself in the meantime!
