Ego Blower Stubby Nose

Description:

I created this “stubby” adapter for ego 56v electric blowers. The blower model this was tested on is the 765 version, I am unsure if this works for the other ego blow models. (Feel free to use the cut feature in bambu studio to make a much smaller section to test for fitment).

The distance from the blower to the end of this nozzle is much shorter than the standard at 76.35mm

Additionally I have added ¼" of straight flange at the end in case you would want to add some sort of protection to the end of the blower (use case like drying car and you don't want to accidentally scratch the paint).

I have not tested, but thought of using some rubber edge trim like this from mcmastercarr to fully protect the end of the adapter.

How to use:

1. Remove the current tube attachment from the end of the blower.

   

2. Place the printed stubby adapter on the end of the blower, align the slot on the printed part with the protruding piece on the left side of the blower, push the adapter on fully.

   

3. By either using the handle or grabbing the adapter, rotate it to the left to “lock” it into place.

   

4. Ready to use!

Final Notes:

I printed the final version show in the pictures out of PLA-CF, the test versions were done out of basic PLA. The test models were a bit tighter than the PLA-CF I printed the final version of out, I suspect this is due to the fact that I have calibrated my PLA-CF and was using the default PLA Basic profile.

The model I have printed fits on perfect and there is no issues with the part being too loose or too tight in any location, your mileage may vary,

The print profile has a modifier that slows the print down significantly in the middle section. From my tests I found poor print quality in this area, I don't believe there was enough time for the previous layers to cool, and there would be stringiness on the inside. This modifier fixed all those issues and the part prints perfectly in that section now.
