Description

Italian rosone coaster with coaster holder. The coaster holder can hold up to five coasters.

Wikipedia describes the Rosone as:

The rose window (Rosone), or rose, is a circular decorative window applied to the facades of Romanesque and Gothic style churches.

It is a round glass window present on the axis of the main nave, sometimes also of the secondary ones, or in correspondence with chapels or transversal arms, in front of which there is a stone tunnel almost constantly made up of small columns arranged radially, starting from a core central, and connected by arches.

The circular shape and the available color range have allowed master glassmakers to create works of sacred art depicting, in the form of an icon, passages from the Gospel.

The rose window (Rosone), open on the front of churches, is a decorative element, resulting from the composition around a center or a system of radial axes of variously stylized geometric motifs inspired by flora, placed at the center of regular symmetrical spaces, such as for example in the ceilings and in times.
