Description

Hello fans and friends of the Lightsaber,

After much research,

I have now completed my construction of the Obi-Wan Kenobi lightsaber from "A New Hope" with illuminated Crystal Chamber.
It took me a lot of time to gather all the data together. But I hope I can make someone happy with it!

...and if you like it, I would be happy about a like!
Believe me, there is a lot of work involved.

If you like to add the Text too the Transistors you can use
the “Transistor Decal”.
Print it on a Transfer Paper and cut it out.
Looks beautiful on my Lightsabers!!! ;-)

By the way, the Lightsaber Display Stand is also available here!

One of the coolest projects I’ve done so far! it came out great. I saw someone else use blue LEDs and it looked awesome so I decided to do the same. I also incorporated some actual copper wire I had laying around to add a little extra touch to the crystal chamber. I used it for the 4 crystal controls and also in the 4 holes where you put a 40mm piece of filament. I hope you decide to make some other light sabers in the near future!! Darth Vader would be super cool :) 10/10 print. Thank you for sharing this with all of us.

Am I missing how to turn on/off the LED lights in the instructions? How do you control the on/off state?

Hey Brother I have a question so I can make other people hush. Do you have a problem if I download this to 3d print and I want to modify a couple pieces and use it to display at my Job. NOT for personal gain or trying to sell or try to take to credit? Just for me and me alone? I want to remove the engraved letter on a two of your pieces.

good design, however, I modified the battery compartment to suit 2 x lr44 batteries, so the output was 3v, instead of 4.5v (no resistors needed).

I was not understanding how to alignt it properly due to the perspective. Anyway, did you use TPU for the blue ring that goes along with the cap at the bottom?

This is such an awesome profile! Turned out amazing. Wiring was a little tricky but the guide was really helpful. Only thing I changed was putting blue LEDs in it instead of white. Highly recommended!

No, the sword was made without the light-up crystal function, but I still used the 3 pieces where the circuit was meant to be placed, I attached all the parts with glue, the sword opens up to a certain point then retracts from the zero point

came out beautifully, I haven’t wired up the leds yet but love it as a display pice regardless. insane attention to details. a few instructions seem to be missing(like when to put on the buttons) but overall easy to follow.

I cannot print the crystals, it tells me that they have an empty layer, does anyone know how to solve this problem?

I just tested it. And no error was displayed to me. Have you tried printing it yet? Just press the error message away.

I was able to fix it, I changed the print type from arachne to classic and changed another setting and it was laminated correctly

Excellent project. Even though I didn't use appropriate colors, the result is very realistic. Congratulations
