Description

Spider Catcher

This spider catcher is inspired by variants that are also available to buy. It can be used to catch spiders and other insects alive and release them again. It works really well and is a must-have for every household!

Thank you @natefanaro for creating this wonderful video and song!

Usage

Place the housing on the spider and push the button forwards. The spider is caught alive and unharmed. To release it, simply pull the button back again.

Assembly

To be able to see the spider, you can print the trap body transparent. There are many transparent filaments. ABS works best, which you can later smooth in acetone vapor or PVB, which can be smoothed with alcohol. You can find many tutorials on the internet.

1. bend the thin tip slightly downwards (optional).

2. Insert the 4 spring pins into the housing.

3. connect the two joints by pushing the two pins through the holes. The pins will be hold in place as soon as everything is in the housing

4. push everything into the housing and hit the small slot in the housing.

5. push the thread out of the housing with a pin, for example, and screw the knob onto it.

7. clip the latch housing onto the 4 pins (one after the other).
