This is a small bowl automatic water dispenser.

Suitable for most standard 28mm water bottle mouth mineral water bottles such as Nongfu Spring, Yibao, etc.

Note that carbonated beverage water bottles such as cola involve internal pressure, and the rim of the water bottle is different from that of mineral water bottles, so this model is not applicable. I also have a version that is suitable for cola bottles, but I think it is unhealthy to give cola to cats, so I did not upload it (= ̄ω ̄=). If you need it, please leave a message.

The purpose of making a small bowl is to prevent some clumsy cats from getting their entire chin wet or half of their face wet when drinking water from a large bowl, like my Garfield cat at home.

This can also stimulate the cat's competitiveness and achieve the goal of making it drink more water (the cat's heart says: Hey, how come I can't finish licking all this water! * ̄︿ ̄), and it can also prevent excessive exposure to water from breeding bacteria.

You can use it by printing only the model body. If you are worried about splashing water and wetting the floor, you can print the drain board and water basin.

The model can be used in actual testing without adding any support during the printing process, and there is no water leakage problem with a layer height of 0.2mm. However, for safety reasons, it is recommended to print with a layer height of 0.12mm or less.

Due to the issue of thread strength, it is recommended to use PETG material for printing.

The legend after Figure 4 is not related to the model, only showing off the cat.

LOVE this design but located in US… found a nice adapter for 28 to 30 mm bottle mouth here: https://makerworld.com/en/models/1448387-bottle-neck-adapter-converter#profileId-1508500 which should work to use for standard US bottles, but despite having a tight seal and using plumber’s tape on all threaded parts it just glug glug glug drains the whole bottle as soon as attached. is there anything else different about the bottle mouth design that could help troubleshoot aside from the mouth/threaded part width? my cats love the little bowl so I keep putting a little water in here or there but would love to find a working way to adapt this to work properly with the materials available domestically… For any others reading through here with different adapter needs there are several sizes at the link above hope one of them works for you…

I used the remaining ABS filament to complete the spool. The print quality on the A1 was excellent, but it doesn’t fit the 500 ML water bottle; I’ll have to find an adapter

Print quality is amazing. Used PETG-HF as it was going outside for my cat. Love the design, but since I am in Australia, not sure if I will be able to find a bottle that fits and thus get to see it in action. Oh well, I appreciate your efforts nonetheless. Happy holidays!

Other Issues:The mineral water bottle opening is too large to fit

Chinese iced tea, the common mouth of mineral water bottles is 28mm in outer diameter (27.5mm including the thread), this print is too big, the inner diameter is about 30mm, it is recommended to modify it. In addition, the sealing performance of cola bottles is actually better, it is recommended to make a cola bottle version

I don't understand how there are no warnings about printing bowl for water or food consumption for animals. But for human, the warning is everywhere?.

Read before you print to make sure you have a water bottle that is useable. I am in the USA so the size is not common here

My Floki really likes the fountain ... But the threads are not common in Germany either. The cola threads are more or less strong on most bottles here. Except for the 500ml Volvic bottles, I haven't found any. I also have problems with the tightness Can you please also provide the cola thread. I would print it again with 6 walls

The mouth of the water bowl is a bit small, my cat always makes a mess with water, I estimate a bowl diameter of about 7cm would be more suitable
