Dog Helmet - Getting Adoption Family a 3D Printer

Hello, I'm a student from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and I designed the dog helmet for a dog named Rex (formerly known as Niblet) to prevent his euthanasia. The helmet and strap was made from Overture TPU. To learn more about the story you can click any of the news links below.

This post however is for three different reasons.

1. Spice up the current helmet's design! The helmet works and provides the necessary coverage but has no bling! I highly promote remixing the model with many different deigns! His helmet needs some swag!
2. Getting adoption family an A1 Mini! To try to gather enough points/rewards in order to purchase a A1 Mini printer for the adoption family so that they can print off the helmet and hopefully the amazing remix models that come after!
3. Improve the design! The helmet, as stated before, does its intended purpose, but it could be better! If you have ideas on how you could design the helmet differently go for it! Post that too! Ideally, improvements would be something that is lighter and slimer. Maybe even make it out of a different material (only printable on A1 Mini). I've Included the model of his head, obviously he has grown since the scan was taken, but his head shape has stayed consistent so whenever you make a design, the adoption family can just scale up the print in the slicer. I also Included the affected area but as long as protective area is the same as my helmet design it should be fine.

UPDATE 08/28/2024: STL and STEP files have been posted for the helmet.
UPDATE 09/02/2024: We have achieved 200 Boosts!!! The A1 Mini has been ordered and will share pictures on the post once it arrives!

UPDATE 09/10/2024: Printer has arrived, planning on getting to the adoption family this weekend.

UPDATE 09/16/2024: Rex has his printer! I'm blown away from the amount of support! Thank you to everyone that boosted this!
