Description

Warning- These insanely small RC builds are for the experienced hobbyist only. This project requires in-depths knowledge on soldering and programming RC car transmitters. I try to include everything you need in order to improvise a micro RC build.  This is not an exact guide.

I recommend you DO NOT USE your favorite car if this is your first micro build.

Overview and Notes

                 - This is a 1/64 3d printable kit car I've been working on for a couple of years now I call the RAPID64.

                 - It's designed to fit inside the car body of most hot wheels due to its adjustable chassis and low-profile

                 - You are free to upload individual mods to this, but not allowed to modify the existing files and repost them

                 - This is the beta release, pls leave messages if you have any ideas

                 - Magnetic body mounts are in progress

                 - Cost is around $75 in total, but the $30-40 RC4GS Remote can host 30 different RC models for other projects

                 - most thing you buy will come with extras so rationally you can build multiple ones for less once you start accumulating

These files are optimized to work on a 0.2 nozzle ONLY with quality PETG.  Originally this was fully designed for resin printers HOWEVER SLA prints tend to brittle and fall apart especially with CA glue. High quality PETG is the best because of its flexibility, corrosion and heat resistance, low-friction and printability.

                                                                                                     Materials and equipment

Micro ESC- https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DC4GBi3 or  https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DnSeiWP

OTHER OPTION - You can make a Micro ESC From the disassembled 9-gram servo.

not my video-  Convert Servo to Motor and ESC (youtube.com)

FH-1083 Nano Servo - https://www.amazon.com/FH-1083-servo-Voltage-Digitale-Connector/dp/B09CFZDWYD

R4FGM Micro Receiver-  https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Defettv

RadioLink RC4GS V3 (Gyro integrated for drift build) - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dk8Qf75

Donor Headphones - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DE4Fz5t

(Wireless earbuds are necessary for the charge board and MICRO Lithium Ion Battery.

You can also reuse the speaker and module to add a Bluetooth radio to your 1/64 RC car)

1/64 Wheels-  https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DCg2ivV

Find/buy your own assortment of wheels (3d printing them is a bad idea, AliExpress has some cool sets with rubber tires)

Yes, you CAN print/buy Drift wheels and use the integrated Gyro for a drift car!!!

PARTS FOR REAR CHASSIS

REAR CHASSIS OPTION 1

Dual Shaft Motor - https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dejeecj

REAR CHASSIS OPTION  2

Any 9 Gram Servo- https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DEE8SwJ (Disassemble for spur gear, pinion and motor)

(9 Gram Servo is disassembled for Motor, and Gears- optional there are guides on how to turn a 9-gram servo into an ESC as well)

OPTIONAL- You can make a Micro ESC From the disassembled 9-gram servo.  Convert Servo to Motor and ESC (youtube.com)

Steel Metal Rods 1.4mm thickness for rear wheel axle (this is only if you're using a single shaft motor with bearings)

1.5x4x2mm Flanged Bearings for rear- https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DlKH8en (not necessary with Dual Shaft Motor)

I use actual steel bearings and 1.4mm axles because this is where most micro RC cars tend to warp and become un-drivable due to gears skipping.

For the front axles- I recommend using the 2 of the 4 long screws that keep the 9-gram servo together. They're strong and the phillips head is useful for unscrewing the axle if it's accidentally glued into the knuckle.

Instructions Coming Soon- This is highly in-depth. please to not attempt to build without previous experience in micro RC car builds.

If you are experienced and understand the DasMikro diagram, then no one is stopping you
