The PVS-31 is a binocular night vision goggle system developed by L3Harris Technologies, a leading defense technology company. It is designed to provide advanced nighttime observation and targeting capabilities for military and law enforcement personnel.

 

Hardware for nvg in parts:

  • M2 Hardware
    1x M2x10 (Front Switch)
    16x M2x6-8 Mushroom Head (Battery Body, Tubes)
    2x M2x12 Grub Screws (If cant find, just use any)
    2x M2x10-15 (Front Optical Lense)
  • M3 Hardware
    2x M3x20 Socket head (Articulation stop)
    2x M3 Nuts GLUED (Articulation Stop)
    2x M3x15 Mushroom Head (Rear Flaps)
    2x M3 Washers (Rear Flaps)
    1x M3x13 JF (Dovetail)
  • M4 Hardware
    2x M4x31 Socket Head (Articulation pins)
    2x M4 Nuts (Articulation Pins)
    1x M4x5 Mushroom Philips Head (For that dummy thingy on the side of the fisher connector)
  • Brass Heat Inserts
    3x M3 Inserts (OD 5mm, H 5mm) (For rear flaps, for dovetail)
  • Optional hardwares
    4x Brass Washers (ID 4mm, OD 12,5mm, H 0.95mm) (For articulation mechanism)
    2x Custom 4mm Pins (Refer to the sheet) (If you end up using this then the M4 Bolts are not needed)
    2x 2x12.5mm Pins (Rear flaps)
    1x M1.5 Direct tap screw (For the thing at the bottom that holds a piece of rubber to the battery cap)

these are amazing! they printed perfectly. i did go into bambu studio and lay it down on the bottom but it still printed really well just had tons of supports. im not sure if they swivel because i tried to fold one side out and i broke it off but i just Sautered it back on. 10/10! if anyone knows how to make it fold out please lmk

do I need the hardware or can I just print and wear with the dovetail mount?

hey, there should be 2 models. one that is print in place and one in parts. keep in mind that the WILCOX mount needs to be filed down a little or glued for the nvg to sit properly. as making a mechanism would take alot more space and loose the astetic of the mount. good luck!
