Description

Cord stop for all your drawstring needs. Fully 3D printable, including the spring mechanism. 5mm hole works well with shoelaces or similar. Fusion 360 file included with customizable parameters so you can change the hole size (and some other measurements) if needed.

Add a dab of superglue to the bottom end of the plastic spring before inserting it into the outer casing if you want it to stay in place even when the cord is removed.

Highly recommend printing in PETG. PLA will work but the spring will need replacing much sooner.

This was fantastic. I just bought a cheap gardening hat, but it didn't have a chin strap. I knew I could just throw in some cheap shoelaces, but I forgot about the adjustment mechanism. This print was too small to fit more than one piece of shoelace at a time, but super glueing two of these back to back was perfect.

great design, used it to make a small draw string bag for my earbud case. the spring is not the strongest but it gets the job done.

Awesome design. A bit big for small use cases but works great for the things I wanted them for (sleeping back storage sack). Spring holds plenty of tension. Printed in eSun PLA+ Black.

Thanks for the feedback! Just be aware that PLA tends to deform over time, so double-check them in a week or two and make sure they still have enough springiness for what you need.

Weird. I just re-printed it and didn't have that issue. Scaling the insert down slightly (or the outer case up slightly) would probably fix it if the issue is improperly calibrated filament flow.
