Description

This is a soda can dispenser that can take 10x 50cl cans. Typically energy drinks like Monster but also beer and other beverages. It´s easy to print and have supports only in the holes where they are easily removable and marks is not visible. The feet are optional. Not really needed but I think it´s nice with some friction against the surface so I bought TPU feet at the hardware store, but I submit files for those who want to print the feet in TPU instead. The two printed sides are screwed together with two screws and 2 threaded inserts. I also put in a socket for a standard M5 hex nut that can be used instead of a threaded insert. See the .pdf documentation for assembly drawings and a partslist for fasteners an such.

NOTE! The base model fits European standards Drink can - Wikipedia.

Base model fits cans with diameter 66mm and height 170mm.

If you live in North America, also print 2pcs of the spacer: “Spacer 18mm for North America 19FLoz (568ml) Tallboy.stl”.

I also made a print profile separately for a kit of the spacers you need in America.

Fit it between the gables to get that wider space you need for the American version.

The European 50cl can is often confused with the North American 19.2FLoz (568ml) can.

They have the same diameter but different lengths.

If you feel that you need a more sturdy feeling to the construction, also print BURKY-50cl-Bracket for extra rigidity.3mf (for 50cl can) or BURKY-19_2FLoz-Bracket for extra rigidity.3mf (for 19.2 FLoz can).

I also now published a Version 2 of this dispenser. It has one more bolt position, 11mm holes instead of 9mm to allow more screw types and a wider catch area for the can in the end position. I recommend this one if you haven´t already downloaded the original one. I´ll leave the original gables as the main profile since a lot of people downloaded it and seem to like it. With this version, you don´t need “brackets for extra rigidity”.

Printed well, but my cans seem to be too short by a few millimeters and fall out easily.

This is most likely because you don´t have a 50cl can. I´m guessing that you have a 16FLoz can that is 157mm tall instead of the 50cl can that is 170mm tall. Tonight I´m planning to make a version for the American 16FLoz can since many people asked for it. The one you already printed can be used for 50cl or 19.2FLoz if you print the Tallboy spacer I submitted as a print profile.

Now the 16FLoz version is in the printer. Tomorrow around 14.00 Swedish time I think I can post it on Makerworld.

Printed really nice, but sadly 1cm to short for my (german) 500ml can. did not realise they are different 😂 EDIT; i printed the wrong one! fixed it with the adapter and some hot glue, and it works like a charm, shoutout to the designer!

Oh, are the cans taller in Germany? Can you please tell me the German dimensions? Diameter and height would be great to know. I can easily make and post an adapter if I know the height of your can.

I think I know what´s wrong. You have accidentally printed the 16FLoz version, which has 160mm between the sides. The 50cl version has 173mm between the sides. In Sweden the 50cl is most likely exactly like the German can, diameter 66mm and height 170mm. Print the 50cl one and you will be ok :-)!

I think that the build plate is dirty or needs to be replaced. Try washing it with a new sponge and soapwater. This model is very bed-adhesion friendly, so to speak.

A common thing that happens is that you touch the plate with your fingers and leave fat marks on it, making spots that do not adhere. Wash up liquid, warm water and a brand new, unused sponge and scrub it off good. That will work. This model is easy to print so you should have no issues once that is solved. Happy printing :-)!

Swiss precision. Worked like charm. Like another user here, initially I thought that bolt holes are too small. It turned out that due incorrect Zoffset, I had pronounced "elefant foot" at the first layer. It turned out that hole size (9mm) are adequate for metric 5 bolts (8.5mm at head) Anecdotal, in my country there is a saying "if it can be tied with some wire, it's a petty to waist a screw". So I just glued the parts together. Again, my printer setup problem not a design one. My beers are happy and organized now. Cheers!

Great! I did not know that glue is strong enough for this! Maybe better than bolting? Nice with this long review! I made a version 2 of this (as you can see) and that one have bigger boltholes to accept more types of screws and it’s also generally stronger.

I used some (new for me) "gorilla" glue. It is a bit foamy and this is good because it fills any gaps between parts. But by any means the bolt solution is stronger. Metal is metal. :)

Great model. In my case was neccasary to print without supports (transparent PLA). With supports was very complicated to remove them.

Cool with the transparent filament? What filament is it? Was it actually possible to print without supports in the screwholes?

Filament 3DPower Basic PLA ( https://3dpower-filament.com/en/products/filament-3dpower-basic-pla-1-75mm-natural-1kg-25.html?query_id=2 ). Print without supports was fine and with no problems. There is short distances to make trouble during printing.

Glad you like it! Either you can put in a heat insert or just a hex nut on one side, and a MC6S insex M5 bolt in the other side. Check out the dwg. If you want, I can make a video of how to do it but I doubt you need it. You can also glue the sides together.
