This is a soldering iron adapter for a Dremel drill stand (Deluxe Model 212 Type 2), rediscovered after being misplaced in the workshop, featuring integrated cable management. It's 3D printed using ABS for enhanced heat resistance in the soldering iron mount.
Two M3x5x4 melt-in nuts (Voron) are additionally required: https://amzn.eu/d/0bJwaFv, along with two M3x10mm screws or longer.
A compatible soldering iron can be found here: https://amzn.eu/d/gNhSVtN.
For assembly, detach the drill press mount (using two 14mm and two 11mm nuts) and attach the adapter in its place.
Crucially, before inserting the soldering iron, remove the rubber sheath (handle) and insert the iron from the underside of the mount.
The cable guide may be printed using any suitable material and is inserted into the standpipe.
The plate precisely fits the press table. I designed it to prevent scratches from the metal table, incorporating a 30mm outer diameter, 10mm inner diameter, and 1mm thick washer. Print it upside down using PLA with PETG support, or conversely, PETG with PLA support.
Finally, a tip holder, designed to clip onto the standpipe, is also included. Matching tips are available here: https://amzn.eu/d/bzwPxYt
