Description

This power supply is built around the Riden RK6006 DC-DC power converter. With up to 360W of power and a bright, yet small display, makes a useful bench power supply. You should be able to construct it for under USD $100.

All the power supply components are housed in a 3D printed case of my own design. The case is composed of several printed parts. See the included assembly manual to help you complete this build.

My print is made in Bambu Lab PLA Tough Lavendar, eSUN PLA+ White and Blue 1.75mm filaments, with 0.2mm layer height on a Bambu Lab X1 Carbon printer with an AMS.

I hope that you can find this print useful, too. If so, you can support my work by buying me a coffee …

Remember to leave me some feedback or even a tip to keep me enthused to make more of these drawings.

UPDATE

  • 27/08/2024 Added a second control panel with an alternate power switch fitting.
This control panel has the original power switch fitting replaced with a single 10mm hole.  If required, this 10mm hole can be more easily post processed (with a drill bit) to be larger to match alternate switch types and sizes, eg. rocker switch with round fitting, toggle switch.  Alternatively, further hole size processing can be done before printing in your slicer with shapes, if you know how.

The project is amazing, many thanks to the author for sharing For my needs, I slightly reduced the terminal openings and created an opening for a standard rectangular 230V switch

For those struggling to find the PSU, I think this is the item: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005001823896375.html I had to do a reverse image lookup on Google!

Your link matches the power supply module I used. Thanks for looking. For a second source, (though not endorsed) I purchased my power supply module from https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005864004846.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.11.2f1e1802V2VpGg

Can I suggest you change the switch on the front panel - It's almost impossible to find (22mm x 22mm) if you are not in Australia - There are a number of switches that are 22mm x 30mm or 22mm x 31mm that are 16A and come from many different sources.

I appreciate all the interest in this power supply and that you have reached out with your thoughts. To help yourself and others with a more easily available power switch, I've included a second control panel as an alternative with a hole fitting for the power switch.
