Printing Recommendations:

Material: PLA or PETG - PC or stronger for screws (dry filament before use for best result)

Infill: Minimum 50% - 100% for screws

Layer Height: 0.12 - 0.16 mm

Assembly Tip: For optimal threading, run a metal tap or screw through the threads before assembly.

Magnets: Available at Maker Supply, assemble with opposite polarities for a strong, secure magnetic connection.

Screws: The use of metal countersunk screws is recommended if you do not have technical materials to print them.

Unfortunately, the magnets disrupt the magnetometer and accelerometer in the phone, otherwise, a really neat build!

I was thinking the same thing - magnets that close to any electrical device tends to cause issues. If they had a mechanical solution for connecting rather than magnetic, and made versions for more phones this would be wonderful

Thank you for your feedback! Our initial idea was to use a steel ring in the phone backplate, but for convenience and easier sourcing, we opted for magnets. We’re also considering alternatives like a copper-graphite shield, which could help block magnetic interference effectively. However, your input is valuable, and we’ll definitely consider a mechanical attachment for the universal version. Thanks again for your suggestion!

I’m sure it’s going to turn out amazing!  For the step files, Yes, absolutely! If you can be a bit patient, I’ve been pretty busy with work these past few days. I actually had some ideas in mind to make the side supports more robust and easier to assemble. If you can hang tight for a bit, I’ll modify the model and upload the updated steps too! ;)

I checked the dimensions of the Nothing Phone 1, and it is smaller than the CMF Phone 1, so unfortunately it’s not compatible.
