Description

Introducing the Brick Travel Case, your portable building companion that's ready to organize and inspire your creative adventures! At Ozarkexpeditions, we believe that imagination should never be limited by location. Whether you're at school, in the air traveling by plane, on a long road trip, or just need a fun way to organize your supplies, this is a fun build. That's why we've designed a rugged, brick-compatible travel case that lets you take your builds wherever you go. Besides being awesome at carrying your bricks, this can also be used to carry your school supplies, art supplies, lunch and more when you or your kids travel or attend school.

The Brick Travel Case is not your typical rugged storage box. With studded plates on the top and bottom exterior and interior surfaces, it's a versatile and interactive organizer that's compatible with your favorite building bricks. Now you can create, customize, and configure allowing you to be creative!

Printing & Assembly

All pieces are oriented in the print profiles for the best printing experience. I used smooth PEI plates, but any build plate should work fine for this build. We tested a few snap designs and this one appears to be the best design, but with that said, it may require a bit of force, but our designs prefer this to needing messy glue. Let us know how your build goes together and provide any feedback.

The first task is to attach the studded plate to one side of the box. Both plates are the same. First, we will walk through placing the connectors in the slots.
Start by taking one of the dog-bone style connectors and placing it at an angle into the slot.
Press down firmly and you will hear a snap once the dog-bone style connector is in place. It should push in with a little force, if needed take a scrap piece to help provide more area to push down.
Continue this for each of the connectors.
Now we will place the exterior baseplate on to the connectors.
Start by connecting one side and working your way around to each connector snapping it into place.
Ensure the pieces are firmly connected. Repeat the process for the other half of the box.
Now, to connect the halves of the boxes. Start by threading in the M3x25mm machined screws in the back of the box. This is designed to be a precise fit so that the hinges hold on strong to the bolt.
Add a washer and locking nut.
Continue the same process for the front of the box, using the M3x30mm machined screws. Now your new Brick Travel Box is ready to go!

Feedback

As with any new design, we would love to hear your feedback on how we can update the actual printed design to continue making it fun and engaging. Post your build photos, give us a download, and if you want to see more cool projects, give a boost! 🚀
