Description

In order to spice up GraviTrax Junior, I created a set of vertical drops, a catcher as well as a small and a big vortex to collect balls from multiple tracks. The drops can be stacked on top of big drop towers to adjust for height and air time.

Without the catcher underneath, the vortices also work nicely as marble collectors.

For the catcher, I wanted the arch to end right at the edge of the piece, so the marbles cannot roll back and get stuck inside. So it ended up being a 5x high part, whose design was highly inspired by Seppel's 5-Fach Höhenstein: https://www.printables.com/model/700671-gravitrax-junior-5-fach-hohenstein-high-stone

His part also works perfectly as a see through drop tower as well as side drop-in part, especially if used together with his bridge: https://www.printables.com/model/702577-gravitrax-junior-brucke-bridge

Printing instructions:

  • 0.2 mm, adaptive layer height (to get nice vortices)
  • 2 Wall loops
  • Normal support, on build plate only
