Description

Boost Me (for free)

If you download, print, or collect this free model, I would really appreciate it if you take the time to click the like <3 button (or boost if you see fit) as I put a ton of time, experimentation, and filament into developing, testing, and posting these- and your support helps me continue to do so!

NEW SOLID VERSIONS ADDED!!

Updated versions of my mushroom magnets are now live- these solid mix-and-match magnets have a large set and a small set- each with 12 tops/bottoms to experiment with! *Parts from the large and small sets don't interchange- small mixes with small and large with large.* The pictured versions are a mix of PLA wood, basic, gradient, glow and silk that I then sealed with a clear gloss coat- multiple print profiles are available.

Just print in a variety of filaments, add your own custom finishing touches with craft paint (like I did with the polka dot ones) or other materials and slap on some magnet stickers (see BOM below) to create your own personalized mushroom magnet collection! I'd recommend a dot of glue to reinforce the sticky backing of the magnets, optional of course.

After printing, I recommend using small hobby needle-nose pliers to help remove the supports from the mushroom tops.

OLDER HOLLOW VERSION STILL AVAILABLE:

These adorable interchangeable hollow mushroom magnets are more than just cute decorations- they can hold or hide small items, air plants, notes and more! Choose some fun filaments and then print and mix and match the 6 top and 6 bottom shapes to create a variety of fun combinations!  Files for a large set and small set are available- but they are not interchangeable with each other- they each have 12 total pieces with the 6 tops and 6 bottoms. All parts have built-in pre-sized pockets/indentations making it easy for you to easily add small round magnets (4x2mm and 6x2mm) with a little superglue.

***If you like mushrooms make sure to check out my other mycological designs!***

Print tops upright with bottoms on plate- use tree supports (tree brims at 3mm, 1mm tree support branch diameter, and Top and Bottom Interface layers at 1 for easier removal). You may want to manually edit the supports for some of the tops to ensure the upper overhang is supported. They may print just fine without them- I used “Support Critical Regions Only” and it didn't automatically mark the upper overhangs so I just marked them manually just to be safe.

Print bottoms with tall and middle sizes upside down (semi-circle on plate), lay squat bottom on back- no supports needed.
