Brick Wall Picture Hanger (versatile )

This little bit (greeblie) is something I created so I could hang pictures and art on a brick wall quickly, safely, and most importantly…adjustably.

I wanted a way to arrange art and collectibles on my brick wall in varying presentations. There were a few anchors placed by the previous owner that were clearly drilled into the mortar of the wall. I was stuck with the ability to hang only 3 pictures on the entire wall and only in three spots. This was not acceptable.

I was not going to try and drill picture anchors into mortar or brick all myself.

So I figured out this little tool that lets me anchor a hook pretty much anywhere on the wall. The shape of the part makes it so that any downward pressure exerted on the hook wedges the part into the gap between the bricks. Voila! I could put a picture hanger in almost any position on this wall.

The part can be resized at will to suit your needs. This particular brick gap was about 2cm.

I can see this being a great and non-invasive way to hang whatever you like, wherever you like, on:

*brick walls and facades

*Interior fireplaces

*exterior chimneys

*anywhere you want to hang something and there is a recessed vertical gap.

I printed mine in BambuLabs Basic PETG (the older formula that was discontinued) with the standard Bambu settings for it and it printed as shown.

I have exerted a great deal of downward force on it personally (I really tried to break it! Honest!)

I trust it enough to hang my family's art collection (Sadly, no Rembrandts… but they are important to me)

I guess the best thing about it is that I can now cycle things in and out of this wall. making it a gallery wall that can do so much more than show three pieces…
