Climbing Hangboard

Train at home with this two piece wall-mounted hangboard. Each hold mounts with four screws and is designed to include embedded washers for extra strength. The bottom of each pocket is modified with fuzzy skin for a grippy texture without any post-processing.

I have included two modifier models, one to use fuzzy skin only where needed and another to add extra infill where it will be most effective. The supplied .3mf files already have these modifiers properly configured. Washers are inserted mid print with a pause command. A single layer bridge over the washers can be easily punctured with the mounting screws.

Dimensions:

143mm wide, 139mm high, 50mm deep as mounted.

Pocket depths are 15mm, 25mm, and 40mm. The top of the hold is 50mm and is also textured.

15mm from washer to back of hold (size screw length accordingly).

Hardware:

You will need four screws and four fender washers per hold.

#10/M5 Pan head wood screws. Non-countersunk, 9mm max head diameter, 1.5"/40mm length recommended.

#10/M5 Fender washer with ¾"OD (19.5mm outer diameter maximum)

To Print:

The model was designed to be sufficiently sturdy when printed in PLA, as mine are. More durable filaments like PETG or ASA should work just as well. Flexible filaments are not recommended.

3mf files are included for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer, and PrusaSlicer. These pause the print so washers can be inserted. They have modifiers in place for the grip texture as well as areas reinforced with extra infill.

If you aren't using these files I recommend the following settings:

• 0.28 Layer height
• Arachne wall generator
• 8 Walls
• 15% Cubic infill (25% if omitting reinforcement modifier)
• Reinforcement modifier: 40% infill
• Grip Texture modifier: Fuzzy skin - All walls, point distance: 0.5mm, thickness: 0.8
• Pause print before 17mm to insert washers
