Description

portuguese tiles planter

squared with traditional tile design inserts

modern minimalist planter design inspired in traditional portuguese tiles that sits elevated in a plate

full dimensions in mm ~ x:100 · y:100 · z:100

  • included are the profiles for both X1C and A1mini
  • 0.2mm layer height
  • 10% cubic infill

after printing all components, the tile inserts slide into place, and then you finish by also inserting the caps.

notes

  • the tolerances for the inserts are very tight, so that no glue is needed and they are snug in place. please ensure that your filament is properly dry and your printer calibrated.
  • it's very important to ensure the bed is thoroughly clean so that there are no adhesion issues, as it has both large flat parts, and small accents, which require proper adhesion
  • includes bambu studio 3mf files and STLs
  • all photos uploaded are of the actual printed model, and are copyright protected
  • if you enjoy this model please consider to buy me a coffee

My wife brought some Basil home and all pots we had were too small or too big. Printed this one for the fun of it. Scaled to 110% since I needed it a bit bigger. Obrigado. My Kobra 2 doesn't have the Bambu print quality but it worked. (and this fresh spool of white is a bit off, I'm having some troubles to get it right compared with other filaments I've used.)

thanks for sharing your print, indeed the inserts seem to have lost a bit of definition, did you use the "plate side" for the outside when assembling? (that's how i do it, and use the textured plate to give it a bit of texture). abraço

Hmmm didn't remembered that detail, focused on placing it in a way that wouldn't need supports. Probably wouldn't need them anyway the other way around. Still fresh in the 3D print world, so it's always a good lesson. 😁

yep you don’t need them the other way around the chamfer is at a 45 degree angle so it prints fine :)

Superb The parts intended for the white tiles detached during printing, but the result is still magnificent

perfect. scaled it to fit my plant that I chopped in the end to make another one. one star down because I scaled it throughout and the little slots are very loose so need to glue them in.

This turned out to be very nice. Printed as designed. The only issue I had was that the tiles fit very tightly and barely bow out a little. Not really noticeable once everything is complete

thanks, yeah the tolerances aren’t high to get a tight fit, ensuring the filament is dry and calibrated should mitigate any issues
