Description

Please see notes at the bottom

If your charger is inside your garage, you may find this useful to charge outside as it is extremely strong, lightweight and allows little to no light to pass through whilst protecting your charger cable:

This allows your cable to pass through your garage door without any added pressure:

I've been using it with a Tesla Universal Wall Connector (Gen 3) with a cable diameter of 17.5mm for over a year without issue.

CAUTION:

Please test first! The last thing I want is for your EV cable to be damaged! If you have any issues please comment with your setup so I can better the model for others.

-I have ONLY tested this with this specific charger, so please ensure it will work for your cable diameter prior to closing your garage door on it…

-I have only tested with my aluminum garage door with foam insulation and tension cables from a home built in the early 90s.

-Ensure your garage door seal has some give so that the door is still sealed from the outside.

-I printed in ASA for weatherproofing and strength. Mine has 5 walls but the profile has 10 walls for extra assurance.

PLEASE NOTE:

-Due to a user being upset that his broke (could be due to not having the unit properly parallel to the door), I have to stress that the design is deliberately low profile to allow the door to close as much as possible and avoid garage doors rebounding due to obstacle. Of course, the trade-off is that it cannot be as strong as a taller design.

- I hope all will understand that I am not able to test for all variables with your garage door such as weight, tension cables, width, etc so I cannot guarantee this design will be as indestructible as it has for me.

-If this wasn't strong enough, I've uploaded a 3mm taller design as well that has more strength, but this will not allow your door to close as much which could trigger issues with the door rebound as mentioned

Hopefully it works for you as it has for us, bearing in mind the above. Thanks!
