Description

Hello,

I designes this Hauler ship based of No Man's Sky, it took a week to finish and I'm really happy with the outcome of the model.

Next week I will be adding a stand for the model so you can display it on a shelf much easier.

I will also be posting a AMS version with 4 colours for people that want the whole model in colour.

NOTE: i do not own an AMS so I will not be able to post results of that.

No Mans Sky uses procedurally generated models to create their ships, this Hauler ship is based off this reddit post I found: https://www.reddit.com/r/NoMansSkyTheGame/comments/zdysa0/what_in_your_opinion_is_the_best_looking_ship/

This ship was found/posted by Jensen_Explorer on the NMSCE site.

Print settings:

  • Use 0.16mm nozzle height or smaller.
  • 15% Gyroid infill
  • Tree support mandatory
  • Print on side so that the left wing of the spaceship is touching the plate

NOTES for Post Procesing:

Use a pair of pliers or something finer to remove the supports. Be carefull around the supports of the antenas on the top of the model, on the grills on the wings, and on the gun parts on the front of the ship. If you accedentaly break off the guns you can allways connect them again with some superglue :)

For anyone remotely interested in this ship I added a colour profile that takes almost 4 days to complete…

I think the colouring turned out nicely and is faithfull to the original model.

Let me know your thaughts!

And if anyone has any remote idea on how to lower the prining time in any way shape or form im open to criticism :)

Printed this for my dad, we are both huge no mans sky lovers. The print came out beautifully, I prob should have done a higher quality layer setting, but this was one of my first prints and im pretty happy with it, next step, paint!

fantastic print! I scaled mine down to make a tiny one to hang in my car. planning on painting it like my ship in the game.

I may have to try this one again. Dissapointing results from an 8 hour print. Some small details got ripped off the ship when I removed the supports, the leading edge of the left wing is unfinished, and the left tail section printed in strings. It’s a shame because the design is very cool!

Could you make a magnetic modular Corvette class starship building from no man’s sky? I think that would be really cool
