Radio Flyer Landspeeder Gear
Print Profile(1)

Description
My kids have a Radio Flyer Landspeed that I made a little faster. On the maiden voyage, my 4yr old drove it right into a curb in the neighborhood which immediately sheared half the teeth off of the pinion gear in the right side motor/trans assembly. I contacted Radio Flyer and scoured every light and dark corner of the internet and was unable to find a matching gear or even a replacement motor/trans assembly. So I sat down and taught myself gear math and made the stupid thing myself.
The part is the pinion gear in the assembly. It's the first gear connected directly to the gear on the motor shaft. It's a dual gear and it's position on the build plate is upside down from it's position in the transmission. I used PLA and it has held up fairly well, however, since this Landspeeder is modified, the gears don't last more than a few miles around our neighborhood. I would imagine that PLA would do well in a stock vehicle though. I sent the step file off to JLCPCB to have them MJF print it out of nylon. They were fairly cheap so I ordered a bunch of them.
This is part is SUPER specific so I highly doubt it will work for anything else but who knows. It's a 14/28T double spur gear with a 5mm shaft and a 24mm overall diameter. I can provide more details upon request. I used Shapr3D on my iPad and I'm happy to share the design files as well; just shoot me a message.
