Printing Instructions:

Simple:

1. Start print
2. add magnets at the pause
3. resume printing
4. have fun competing

Detailed:

0. Required Materials:

• 56 Round Magnets 6x2mm
• 50 for the Chips
• 6 for the “Playing Field”

1. Start the print

2. Automatic Print Pause for Magnet Insertion:

• There is a built-in pause in the print-profile to allow for the insertion of magnets.
• This Pause has only been tested with the layer setting 0.16mm High Quality @BBL X1C and occurs at layer 15 for the chips and the playing-field.
• If you choose a different layer height you might need to change the layer-pause for magnet insertion.

• Ensure that the last printed layer is flush with the inserted magnets, and the next layer encloses them. You can verify this in the "Preview" tab on the right side.

  

• Just scroll to the right layer, right click and “Add Pause”

  

3. Magnet Orientation:

• If you want your chips to be able to stack in the same direction on top of each other (picture below), you have to insert all magnets with the same pole (either all South or all North) facing the same direction.

• Since the printbed is magnetic there should be no problems with the magnets staying in the print properly.
• Ensure that the magnets are perfectly aligned and flush within the print as seen in the pictures below. (yellow chips (first row): The first layer - after insertion- has already been printed)

4. Continue printing:

• Once you have inserted all the magnets you need to go to the popup-window in the Bambulab Slicer.
• Then simply click “Resume Printing”.

• The next layer forms an invisible, magical bond, sealing the magnet in place for eternity.
• This seamless fusion results in a 3D print that adheres effortlessly to all ferromagnetic materials.

P.S.

Three days after finishing the design and print, I've already played over 25 rounds. The game is incredibly accessible since it's always ready to go, requires no setup time, and is super easy to reset. Imo, it turned out beautifully; both my wife and daughter love it!
