Description

Designed for entertainment, this geodesic dome can be a delightful project.

The triangles can be printed with either PLA or PETG, although the pins have only been tested with PETG.

No supports or brims are necessary, as the design has been optimized for printing.

For those who prefer to slice it themselves, a 0.2mm layer is recommended. Adjust the first layer width of the pins to 0.4mm to ensure the built-in brims function properly.

The simplest model requires 10 equilateral triangles, 30 isosceles triangles, and approximately 50 pins. The completed dome will have a diameter of about 31cm.

For larger models, you can consult the snub dodecahedron page on Wikipedia. Such a dome could reach a diameter of about 50cm.

I dedicated an entire day to designing the dome pieces and optimizing the pins. Assembling the pieces is enjoyable, and I hope you find it so as well.

Any feedback on successful models would be greatly appreciated.

P.S.: A little prier can be very helpful.
