Description

I wanted a nice case for my trophy, so I printed one.

Please be aware that the “plain” version of the bix does not have the inlay with snap mechanism for the ring, I wanted it to be universal for more rings. You can also print your own inlay.

The box itself is a print in place, but you have to use support. Print the inlays separate for perfect results.

You can add magnets (5x3mm) before the last 2 layers of the inlay, so that it really snaps together. You have to make a stop in the sliced bambu studio file, insert the magnets and resume.

Very nice box! I thought the pause was in the gcode already so I missed putting in the magnets until the end so I had to trim out the holes to insert the magnets. I like it that way actually because you get a nice metallic click when you close the lid. The hinges are tight and I thought for sure I was going to break them closing the lid the first time but they didn’t. I added our league logo to the lid before sending it to the printer.

very nice! I just opened the print profiles and the pause is there. I guess when you start it from the mobile App this is the hiccup ;(

I just sliced off the top layers until I get to the hole on the magnet inserts. Also seems to fit better being a bit shorter.

great print, all the players in my league were jealous when our previous league champion was presented with our first ring in this box/display. I even modified the top logo to match ours.

The plain box looks great but for some reason the geometry is off between the lid and base. The lid cannot close since the base gets in the way. Any ideas how to fix this?

Hi, it is a double hinge and is print in place so you might want to loosen up the other joint. have to be careful but it worked every time when I did it.

very nice build a drop or 2 of glue holds the inlays in perfect 👌 i love the texture of the outside so nice!! 1 extra layer over the magnet would be nice for those that don't use the magnet it doesn't cover the hole very good but still 5 stars
