Description
Introduction
In an age where technology and sustainability become increasingly central to our lives, innovation is not just about creating new objects, but also about improving existing ones. We present a file divider, a cutting-edge solution made with 3D printing, which combines design, functionality and inclusiveness.
Description of the Invention
This file divider stands out for its unique design, inspired by a painter's palette. Rather than being a simple sheet, this divider features a sleek construction with a left side featuring insert holes and a right side displaying a number to identify sections. The entire page is made with a honeycomb strcture, a choice that offers lightness, robustness and an aesthetically pleasing appearance. In the centre, a large void further lightens the structure, ensuring minimal use of plastic material without compromising resistance. This divider is compatible with most files, especially those that have 2, 3 or 4 rings, making it extremely versatile.
Printing Process (256 x 256 x 256 mm plate required)
Due to the considerable size, the printing process is divided into 10 tables, each for each page. Obviously there are no supports. The file involves the use of two colors to highlight the numerical symbol and the symbol of the Braille alphabet, this does not remove the user's ability to print in a single color. Given the dimensions, the object can only be printed on plates measuring 256 x 256 x 256 mm.
Mathematics Application
The honeycomb lattice used in the design is not just an aesthetic choice, but is based on mathematical concepts of structural optimization. This type of structure is commonly used in areas such as aeronautics to create components that must be lightweight but strong. In this divider, this structure helps to reduce the use of plastic material, making the object ecological and sustainable, as well as giving it a modern and pleasant appearance.
Function of the Braille alphabet
One of the most significant innovations in this divider is the integration of the Braille alphabet. Each divider features numbers from 1 to 10, accompanied by the respective symbol in the Braille alphabet. This allows blind people to easily locate the page archived within the dossier, promoting inclusiveness and making this object accessible to all.
Value added
This file divider offers lightness, resistance and an attractive design, combining functionality and aesthetics. The possibility of being used also by blind people thanks to the integration of the Braille alphabet represents a further added value, making this product unique in its kind.

Usage and Market Target
This divider is intended for anyone who needs to organize documents at home, in the office, in the library or in any work environment. Its versatility makes it suitable for a wide range of users, from students to professionals.
Ecological Aspects and Sustainability
The minimalist design and honeycomb structure allow the use of a minimal amount of plastic material, reducing the environmental impact. This makes this type of divider an ecological and sustainable choice, perfect for those who care about the environment.
Conclusion
This file divider represents a perfect fusion of technology, design and sustainability. Made with 3D printing and enriched by the integration of the Braille alphabet, it offers an innovative and inclusive solution for organizing documents. We are proud to present this invention in the competition, convinced that it can make a difference in the lives of many users.
